Sensing Atmospheres I'm co-directing the Sensing Atmospheres working group at Concordia's Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture from 2020-2021. We're running a bi-weekly speaker series on Zoom during Fall 2020. Check here for more info. Please get in touch if you want to tune in. Material Religion Initiative I co-convened the MRI with Jeremy Stolow (Communication Studies) and Nicola Pezolet (Art History) from 2018-2020. The group brought together scholars from across the city to discuss texts and host guest speakers. If you're a scholar or student in the Montreal area with overlapping interests, please get in touch. |

New Directions in Anthropology of Christianity
I co-curate the New Directions website, which is a fantastic resource for materials contributing to the anthropology of Christianity. Along with James Bielo, Jon Bialecki and Naomi Haynes, I'm editing a brand new book series of the same name, set to launch in 2021. Stay posted for updates on the New Directions site.

Restorying Canada 2.0
I coordinated the creation and launch of Restorying Canada's website, following the conference I co-organized with Emma Anderson (University of Ottawa) and Pamela Klassen (University of Toronto) in May 2017. Built by the brilliant Jeremy Cohen, the site features images and excerpts from the conference speakers from across Canada, including keynotes such as Margaret Atwood, George Elliott Clarke, Zarqa Nawaz, Cris Derksen, and Kent Monkman. Portions of the conference were aired on CBC radio's Tapestry. The site launched in April 2018 and will stay up as a curated archive for five years. Read & see more here.
Changing Spirituality of Emerging Adults
This Lilly Endowment/Catholic University of America project collected sociological and ethnographic data about young adults and Christianity in the US. Research summaries are posted online as a free resource for scholars and community members.
Patheos Online
Web forum that aims to foster balanced perspectives and discussions about belief. It connects believers and students with faith communities and scholars. I was involved at the ground level writing the site's content and designing historical trees.
The Pluralism Project at Harvard University
Since 1991, this educational resource has documented US religion, particularly new faith groups. When I was a PhD student, I wrote and updated the Christianity Section of World Religions in Greater Boston and taught project case studies for seminars at Harvard.

New Books in Religion
From 2014 to 2018 I co-hosted the New Books in Religion podcast, featuring bi-monthly interviews with the authors of some of the best new books on religion. All the interviews are archived and free on the site.
PBS television series God in America
This 2010 American Experience/Frontline series traces the role of God in the US public sphere over nearly 400 years. I was a researcher and consultant for episodes 3, 4 and 5 (c.1830-1960) and designed web education tools like this one.
CIUT (Toronto) & CKUT (Montreal) Radio
From 2003-2005, I created radio documentaries for both these community stations, including “Jews for Jesus, Jews for Judaism," which precipitated my later study of the topic. I also moonlighted as a guest religion expert on CIUT and coordinated The Memories Project, a Yellow Door/QPIRG oral history project on the experiences of Montrealers in the 1940s, portions of which aired on CKUT in 2004.
